QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas. Current CPR and SAMA certification is required or to be obtained during orientation. Experience or education with a focus on crisis stabilization, age specific needs, and/or knowledge of chronic mental illness and chemical dependency is preferred. Strong communication skills in both oral and written format recommended. Typing strongly preferred with a minimum of 20 words per minute. Must be flexible and service oriented.

The House Supervisor on the night shift is responsible for the administrative and clinical supervision of bed coordination and assignments within the hospital. The House Supervisor works in collaboration with multiple departments within the hospital and facilitates regularly scheduled bed management meetings with hospital staff to identify and communicate bed utilization issues. Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Current license as an RN by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of Texas is required
Minimum of 2 years experience in Psychiatric care in an acute care facility.

The Clinical Supervisor will function as an extension of the Department Director/Manager in tasks and assigned duties. Makes patient assignments/tasks according to needs and patient load as well as available staff. Assists Manager in resolving acute problems including after hour issues. RN’s are responsible for providing care, which is appropriate to the age specific (adolescent, adult and geriatric patients), developmental and safety needs of the assigned patient population. In addition to the RN duties and responsibilities, the RN scope includes charge duties. The charge nurse makes patient assignments and supervises and directs the staff and unit activities for the assigned shift.
