The Hospitalist Coordinator leads the collaborative process which assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates options and services to meet an individual's health needs through communications and available resources to promote quality, cost-effective outcomes. The Coordinator supports the mission, vision and values of Denton Regional Medical Center, the philosophy of the Department of Nursing, and supports the nursing staff’s primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family or community.


  • Licensed RN by the State of Texas.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • National Certification preferred.
  • Two years nursing experience in acute care hospital required.
  • Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Computer skills.
  • Leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
  • Superior problem-solving, critical-thinking and organizational skills.
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment with variable day-to-day responsibilities requiring a high degree of autonomy.
