Senior Practice Leaders are responsible for development, execution, and ongoing management of various corporate HIM operations and technology initiatives. They serve as the primary liaison between the Parallon corporate office and its eight regional operations centers, which centrally support approximately 170 acute care facilities across an integrated health system.
This role provides tactical support, leadership, subject matter expertise, and strategic guidance across a variety of functional areas in HIM. The Senior Practice Leader has no direct reports but provides leadership and matrix management of various team members assigned to their respective projects.

Develops and deploys standards, policies and procedures, best practice models, orientation and training, tools, resources, and various educational materials to support coding operations. Responsibilities include assisting the Director in root cause analysis of coding quality issues and preparing training documents to assist with coding quality action plans. The Coding Quality Education Manager may provide subject-matter expertise for Parallon Business Performance Group HIM. Provide training classes, as required/needed, for coding quality trends, as well as, new initiatives. Manages internal education and transition program supporting increased skillset from one level of coding to another.
